Spotlight: His form went the wrong way after winning this last year (soft) but Ludlow last time was a step back in the right direction, when third over inadequate 2m4f; now 7lb lower than 12 months ago and could have big part to play back up in trip; cheekpieces return (mixed results in them previously).

Spotlight: 7yo who has improved for the switch to fences this season, winning at Ffos Las (3m1f, soft) in October and finishing second at Uttoxeter (3m2f, soft) and Cheltenham (3m1f, good to soft) on his last two starts, rallying when challenged last time; this trip is well worth a go and he's respected.

Spotlight: Off the mark over fences at the seventh attempt at Warwick (soft) last month on his second crack at 3m, and he's since been a close second of four at Haydock (3m4f, good to soft); this 7yo remains unexposed over this sort of trip and could play a leading role.

Spotlight: 3-6 over fences following wins at Wetherby (3m, soft) and Uttoxeter (3m, good to soft) on last two starts; galloped on relentlessly for each of those recent wins and the step up in trip may suit this progressive 7yo.

Spotlight: Won over 3m5f/3m3f in winter 2023-24 and has run well on both starts for this yard, most recently 9l fourth in the Borders National at Kelso (4m, soft) where she'd have been closer but for late mistakes; not ruled out.

Spotlight: Won at Wetherby (3m, soft) last February on second chase start and belatedly followed up at Ayr (3m, soft) in November; looked to have stamina in abundance when third in the Borders National at Kelso (4m, soft) last month and this lightly raced 9yo could still have more to offer.

Spotlight: 0-9 under rules (0-6 over fences) but runner-up three times in a row (3m3f-3m6f, various ground) before beaten about 10l when sixth of 11 in the Borders National at Kelso (4m, soft), where his jumping help him back; it's possible he'll find greater fluency today in first-time cheekpieces; chance.

Spotlight: Inconsistent but won over 3m6f at Exeter (good to firm) last March and kept on for third of seven over 2m4f here (good) on New Year's Day; effective on testing ground earlier in career; may be a contender now back up in trip.

Spotlight: Front-runner who won two in a row in late 2024 (3m1f/3m, good/soft), on the second occasion off today's mark, and he ran pretty well over 3m4f at Haydock last March; hasn't run badly on either outing this season but needs something extra this afternoon.

Spotlight: Won at Lingfield (2m7f, heavy) last January and at Plumpton (3m1f, good) in March, and runner-up on last two starts in the spring; lacks a recent outing and is untested at the trip, but he's not ruled out for a stable that has won two of the last six runnings.

Spotlight: Underwhelming on both starts this season, most recently with these cheekpieces applied at Haydock (3m1f, soft), and he's unraced beyond 3m2f; however, this former pointer was progressive last term when switched to handicap chases and has potential off this mark if rediscovering that promise.

Spotlight: With this visor back on he left his first two runs for this yard miles behind to win at 18-1 at Wetherby (3m, soft) last month; weakened when upped to 3m5f last January and needs to prove his stamina, but he remains well handicapped on his old form and is not discounted.

Spotlight: 12yo who was very useful in his prime and, having tumbled down the weights, has won twice this season; easily made all under Lily Jones at Fakenham (3m5f, soft) last month and a 5lb rise isn't harsh, but his other win this term also came in a small field there and he's in a tougher race today.

Spotlight: Won at Ffos Las (3m, heavy) in February 2024 and has run well in defeat a lot more often than not across his seven starts since, including over 3m4f; however, there's a suspicion today's company may prove too hot.

Spotlight: Won at Fontwell (3m2f, good) last June and is also effective on soft ground; returned from break with encouraging third of five at Plumpton (3m1f, good to soft) last month; however, this 10yo didn't quite see out an extended 3m4f at Plumpton last February (soft) and probably needs a career-best today.
