Spotlight: Good second over C&D on his penultimate start but failed to see things out having over-raced in a good race here on Monday; others appeal more for win purposes.

Spotlight: Useful as 2yo for Karl Burke; struggled, albeit in good races, for that yard this year but he was sold for 70,000gns last month and made a fine start for his new connections when finishing off well for second at Chepstow last week (6f, good); 2lb ahead of the handicapper after that run and he's one to take seriously.

Spotlight: Runner-up in three 6f events as a 2yo, mixing it with some useful opposition on a variety of ground; gelded during 343-day absence; should bring potential to this handicap debut and interesting to see how he fares in the betting.

Spotlight: Won a 6f maiden on his second 2yo start and followed up under a penalty in a 6f novice at Thirsk soon afterwards; best handicap run this year when second at Doncaster (7f) 12 days ago, travelling notably strongly but unable to peg back the more prominently ridden winner off a slow early gallop; 2lb rise is not insurmountable and a truly run 6f could be ideal.

Spotlight: Both his wins have come over 5f but he has been unable to land a blow over that trip on his last three starts, getting going too late at Goodwood most recently (officially on heavy but riding quicker); should have a big run in him back at 6f.

Spotlight: Unexposed 3yo who has shaped with considerable promise in both 6f handicaps, notably at Chepstow last week where he tanked through the race, leading around a furlong out before tiring and losing three places in the final furlong; could do with settling a bit better and being more smartly into stride but it seems inconceivable that he's not better than this mark when things fall into place; outside stall is not ideal for one who can be lit up though.

Spotlight: Looked good dropped to 5f at Ascot in April and ran creditably on his next two starts; low draw excuses a lesser run back at Ascot last month; returns to 6f and shouldn't be passed over lightly.

Spotlight: Has plenty of speed and he has run some sound races following his long absence; blinkers didn't help here in June last time, however, and he was subsequently gelded; dangerous mark if that procedure has the desired effect.

Spotlight: C&D winner last year; promising efforts over C&D and at Yarmouth (both on soft) last month but he found things happening too quickly on good to firm ground over C&D on Monday; blinkers now replaced by a new visor.

Spotlight: Two 6f wins this season, the latter off 6lb lower at Newmarket in May (good to firm); weakened having made the running in the first week of Racing League action three weeks ago (soft ground); better than that but the stable may have stronger claims with King Of Light.

Spotlight: 0-13 at Windsor but he has often run well over C&D; only midfield in last week's Racing League fixture and likely vulnerable for win purposes once again.

Spotlight: Made an immediate impact for his new yard with a convincing Newmarket win (5f, good to firm; well backed) in July, and a poor effort at Ascot next time is easily forgiven as he reared at the start and raced alone up the centre of the track; fine at 6f and still feasibly treated if getting it right at the start.
