Spotlight: Short-headed at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) on penultimate outing; denied a clear run at Royal Ascot (1m) and Glorious Goodwood (1m2f) on starts either side, admittedly not taking off once he saw daylight in the latter but he's a relatively unexposed 3yo and worth this second crack at 1m2f.

Spotlight: Can front-run; has done extremely well since gelded and joining current yard, with three wins and two close seconds from those five starts, all at about 1m; latest two wins were on AW but two of the other big runs were on good to firm; it's 1m2f, which he tried twice last year, which gives him most to prove today but he has to be in serious calculations.

Spotlight: Career highlight was at Royal Ascot 2022 but he capitalised on a career-low mark to win at Newmarket (1m4f, good to firm) last month; long list of possible excuses next time and not disgraced at Ascot last Saturday, so he needs a second look.

Spotlight: Three wins over 1m2f on good/good to firm last season; showed best form of current campaign when runner-up in a York amateur riders' handicap (10.5f, good) in June but only fifth over that same C&D next time and well beaten when trying 1m4f six days ago; competitive mark if back to his best.

Spotlight: Hardy veteran who keeps coming back for more and has a good record at Windsor; Racing League races on last two starts, winning at Yarmouth one week before his extremely close fourth at Wolverhampton; back in top form and has a fighting chance to go one better than when runner-up in this race last year.

Spotlight: Made the running for three of his four wins, one over 1m2f at Sandown in June (from Andaleep on good ground; unraced on firmer); just hung on when back on AW at Wolverhampton (9.4f) two weeks ago and raised another 2lb since but needs respect on the back of a career best.

Spotlight: Won at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) in May on second run for this yard and showed better form when close up in all three races since, two of them over 1m2f on good to firm; hanging left did not help in the blanket finish (Andaleep upsides) at Wolverhampton last time but he finished strongly nevertheless and could still have more in the tank; a leading contender.

Spotlight: Third at Epsom (1m2f, good) in April and not discredited in another Listed race next time; last month's handicap debut came in a top race at York (1m2f, good to firm; 25-1) so his tenth of 18 was no disgrace; this is a step down in class but overall improvement is clearly needed.

Spotlight: May well have won at Chester (10.3f, good) in May granted a clear run; just 1lb higher today but Royal Ascot next time was a backward step and he was tailed-off last in a top handicap at York on latest outing.

Spotlight: Often leads; won at Epsom (8.5f, soft) from just 2lb lower last September; twice a creditable third over 1m this June but well held on last two outings; not proven over quite this far on turf and he's run well on only one of six visits to Windsor, so there are a few negatives.
