Spotlight: Seemingly perked up by change of headgear when running well in two recent Worcester chases (albeit fell on latter occasion); on handy mark for this first hurdling start since 2023 and soft ground won't both him; player if the blinkers continue to keep him focused.

Spotlight: Veteran who gained his latest win in Class 2 C&D contest (good; has also won on heavy) last summer and is now 9lb below that mark; out of form this year, though, and needs to prove he still has what it takes.

Spotlight: Always behind at Market Rasen last month, after a break; she's better than that but all her best form is on sharp right-handed tracks, and she probably doesn't want significant rain; sports new cheekpieces.

Spotlight: Inconsistent 7yo who returned from a break to win three-runner C&D (good) contest in June but was tailed off here later that month; didn't run badly when well-held third at Stratford (2m6f, good) last time and won't mind if there's rain about but others have more persuasive profiles.

Spotlight: Safely held over 2m4f here in July, after a 388-day layoff, but now only 2lb higher than when winning at Stratford (2m6f, good to firm) last summer; seems versatile regarding ground; could have a say.

Spotlight: Won small-field Flat marathon off much reduced mark last month but has not run over hurdles since summer 2023 and his current ability in this sphere is hard to gauge; best suited by good or faster ground.
