Spotlight: Seemingly aided by new tongue-tie for new stable this summer, most notably when coming from off the pace for convincing C&D (good) success; not quite as good at Stratford last time and not sure to be suited by rain but remains very much of interest.
Spotlight: Unexposed 5yo who made quite promising hurdle debut when fourth at Southwell (good to soft) in February; two lesser efforts followed, and this handicap debut comes after a 172-day break, but he he might be aided by the new tongue-tie and remains open to improvement.
Spotlight: 0-7 over hurdles but ran well when third at Bangor (2m, good) in June and did not look suited by switch to very patient tactics when only sixth over C&D in July; also has form on soft ground; sports new tongue-tie; might be the answer.
Spotlight: Returned to form with hard-fought win here (2m4f, good) in May, his fifth hurdling success (three of the others were over C&D); well held back from a break at Worcester yesterday (about 5l behind Platenium).
Spotlight: Made disappointing start to chasing career this season (three attempts) and reverted to hurdling with a heavy defeat and a fall last month; lurks on a good mark but needs to turn a corner.
Spotlight: 1-15 over hurdles; returned from break with fairly good fourth at Ffos Las (2m4f, good to soft) in April but all three subsequent runs were underwhelming and he has basically become disappointing.
Spotlight: 0-5 over hurdles when based in Ireland but, following a ten-month layoff, travelled well for a long way on recent stable debut at Worcester (2m4f, good); needs to build on that effort but it will be interesting to see whether drop to 2m pays dividends; swaps cheekpieces for first-time hood.
Spotlight: Won four in a row (two hurdles, two chases) at Sedgefield last autumn but has performed well in only one of four chases this year and needs to prove he can cope with a hurdle mark this high; best on good/good to soft.
Spotlight: Mixes hurdling with chasing nowadays and is not very consistent but his fourth at Cartmel (2m1f, good) two starts ago was a pretty good effort and he'll cope if the ground turns soft here.
Spotlight: Still a maiden after nine hurdling starts but bettered low-key stable debut when keeping on steadily from the rear for fifth at Market Rasen and he finished a close fourth at Worcester (2m4f, good to soft) yesterday; may have more to offer.
Spotlight: Returned from break with good second over C&D (good) in May but her subsequent record is very mixed and she's now 0-20 over hurdles; tried in new cheekpieces today; would probably prefer the rain to stay away.
Spotlight: Pulled up when upped to 2m4f for handicap debut in March and safely held when dropped back to 2m the following month; had wind op during five-month break and remains unexposed but significant improvement is required.
Spotlight: Fair on the Flat for Hughie Morrison; showed only minor promise on first three hurdling starts but shaped well when fourth on handicap debut at Huntingdon (2m, good) in March; not out of this if tuned up after break.
Spotlight: 0-10 over hurdles; ran well to a point when fourth here (2m4f, good) in June, his second start for Christian Williams, but was tailed off when dropped back to 2m at Stratford ten days ago.
Spotlight: 0-7 over hurdles; placed twice off today's mark at start of this year (1m7f/2m, good to soft) but absent since a fall in March; tongue-tie fitted for first time here.

Diesel Line has strong claims if judged on his emphatic C&D win two starts ago but the forecast rain is probably not in his favour and preference is for PORTCAMMON, who finished behind Diesel Line when last in action but will hopefully revert to more positive tactics today. The selection's stablemate Weir Lane also looks quite interesting, while Dan Skelton's handicap debutant Spectre One is a possible improver.[Chris Wilson] Show less
