Spotlight: Beaten at short odds on sole turf start (5f, good) as 2yo; back from absence with two ready AW wins over 6f and, while this opposition will put up more resistance and there is a major surface switch, some of the immediate family handled slow ground; promising.

Spotlight: Has an excellent record at Ayr and it was a shame that he was drawn on the other side to the narrow winner when leading home his group in the Bronze Cup (6f, soft) last week; back up 3lb which won't be beyond him if he copes with this track at the first attempt.

Spotlight: Useful debut form at Doncaster (6f, heavy) last November when runner-up to a smart one and later won on AW; rather vulnerable in his early handicaps on good to firm ground but was never in danger when making all at Windsor (6f, soft) four weeks ago and looks to have a brighter future now.

Spotlight: Two 6f wins in 2026, taking advantage of a big weights drop on the AW in August and then by a wide margin at Chester (heavy) last week; back up 9lb and in grade but has to be respected in his current form.

Spotlight: Missed 2025 but he soon found his feet in turf handicaps at about 6f for new yard and made it three from his last four (all on good to firm) when leading close home at Doncaster latest; the defeat came on good to soft so this surface is a bigger worry than a 6lb rise.

Spotlight: Won 6f maiden on good to soft but all turf handicaps since have been on good ground, seemingly having his share of weight although he wasn't far away at Yarmouth latest; adding cheekpieces could give him some zip.

Spotlight: Has won on soft and good to firm but he doesn't seem quite the horse he was in 2025, albeit he did stick on when third at Salisbury latest off a reduced mark; likely more needed today; yard runs two.

Spotlight: Seen to good effect over 7f recently, not getting the run of the race at Chester (heavy) last week; two 6f wins earlier in his career though and although he hasn't run over this short a trip for over two years his stamina will stand him in good stead on today's surface; considered.

Spotlight: Better than ever when only just losing out at Doncaster (6f, good) two weeks ago; she's also won on good to soft but has more to prove with this rare run on soft.

Spotlight: Won 6f maiden on good to soft as 2yo and a 5f handicap at Sandown on reappearance; has had some difficult tasks at that trip since but he didn't fare too well in a less competitive race than this here (soft) last time and has it to prove back over 6f.

Spotlight: Winner of both his sprint novice events on the AW in the spring but was beaten a long way out on his turf debut at York (5f, good) when returning from a break; this slower surface asks more questions back at 6f.

Spotlight: Off the mark in 6f novice as 2yo last autumn and better form when runner-up in a Listed race (heavy) next time; proving harder to place at different levels this year though and now goes in first-time headgear.

Spotlight: Acts well on soft and heavy and appeared to appreciate good to soft ground when beating six rivals at Epsom (6f; first run since gelded) in August; was up against it from a wide draw at Chester since but he came home strongly and has more of a level playing field this time; possibilities.

Spotlight: Successful 2yo debut (good to soft) and again on comeback at Pontefract (6f, good; handicap debut) in April; up against it since though and needs more again off his current mark, especially after missing a recent race here because of soft ground.
